An evening of performance and stories about architecture, migration and belonging(s), told against Adíre House.
Appropri8 welcomes you to Adíre House - 'The Pavilion of Stories'.
Part of the London Festival of Architecture, this is an evening of performance about architecture, migration and belonging(s).
These work in progress performances; ‘The Suitcase’, and other stories, explore diasporic experiences of the city and how belongings contain memory of place and traces of the past. This evening forms part of ongoing research around architecture, women and race.
Sarah of Appropri8 is joined on the evening by local women, writers and performers including Khyal Arts and poet Esther Nelson of the Hackney Migrant's Centre.
The audience are also invited to bring along an object that tells a story of belonging and particiapte in an optional workshop after the performace.
