THE LAEFER SAXOPHONE QUARTET

Widely regarded as one of the UK's most exciting and dynamic saxophone quartets, the Laefer Quartet have been at the cutting edge of saxophone chamber music for over a decade. In the magical setting of The Old Church, the Laefers will present a colourful programme including Stravinsky, Ravel, and Anna Appleby's Electric Aeroplanes, from their 2024 album STRATA. The word Laefer (pronounced lay-fer) is Anglo-Saxon for ‘reed’ or ‘rush’, and also ‘sheet metal’, encapsulating the essence of Adolphe Sax’s creation.
