About the event
Quiet Folk (Rhia Parker and Natasha Zielazinski) celebrate the launch of their debut EP 'But i shall love it more with you' - a collection of gentle, moving and intimate tunes for mandolin, banjo and voice. They are joined by Detta Danford who performs music from her debut shakuhachi album, 'Where Everything Is Music'.
Inspired by the rich and diverse repertoire of the shakuhachi, by breath as a sonic resource and by responses to the natural world, 'Where Everything Is Music' draws together an eclectic mix of traditional solo honkyoku pieces, min’yō (folk) tunes and improvised music.
