Who's the "open session" for? Anyone can participate in the group improvisation after the feature. If you've not brought an instrument, we always have bric a brac you can use.
What is the format of the open session? There's no specific format other than an extended group improvisation. There are no combos or slots. We encourage people to drop in and out, listen, look around and move around!
Do I need to sign up to play? No but it's great if new participants can introduce themselves to help us keep a record of who has played and stay in contact.
Do I need to play? No! Plenty of people turn up only to hang out and watch.
Is there any place to plug in? No, there used to be a finicky power source but we ditched it. Battery-powered amplification and gadgets are a very typical element in the mix along with voices, acoustic instrumentation and…
