About the event
Borrowing the words of Sami artist Outi Pieski, “Art is a way to heal from the loss of holistic connection to land, language, and traditional values based on the sacredness of nature”. In spite of all of the losses the levant has seen, this holistic connection echoes still through the music. A feeling that transcends words and understanding, a levantine wind that awakens elemental memories of melancholy and beauty.
Join us at the old church for an evening of levantine folk songs Wednesday 1st May at 7pm.
