Stoke Newington Early Music Festival was founded by Vanessa Coode as a community event, bringing the finest Early Music performers to a historic area of London. The Festival is now in its 27th year.

Tenor DAVID DE WINTER and THE BROOK STREET BAND bring SNEMF 2022 to an effervescent conclusion with a programme commemorating Heinrich Schutz (1585 - 1672). The German composer's sojourn in Venice brought him into contact with the virtuosic styles of Gabrieli and Monteverdi, resulting in some of the most expressive and appealing music of the early baroque. Programme also includes works by Cavalli and Rossi.
